MULE DEER
There are limited openings available for this fall season as we only take 8-12 hunters per season our 50,000+ acres of exclusive hunting land. The 2007 harvest saw 5 bucks scoring over 175 B & C with one magnificent beast scoring 185 B& C! We forecast an excellent as always fall hunt as we have a good carry-over of un-harvested bucks and a healthy population of younger bucks expected to push into the trophy class 160+ B & C this fall. Of course there are also some magnificently large wily mature old boys out there too! WHITETAIL DEER
Our Whitetail Deer hunt consists of a 5 day hunt using tree-stands, blinds, open cover and some spot & stalk depending on the weather. Most clients go home with a bucks ranging from 125 to 150 inches with a few lucky ones bagging bucks in the 60’s and 70’s! This is a truly wild hunt and you will see alot of deer however if you think we are going to wheel you out a manufactured 175 inch deer buck on the first morning then go find a pen somewhere! Bow season starts September 27th ‘08 with Rifle starting November 3rd thru January. The rut usually starts at Thanksgiving weekend. As with all our hunts all our ground is excluisve and private and not hunted by anyone else including the landowners. Depending on your experience and comfort level hunters can be guided 1×1 or left alone. If you are a good distance shooter we have great open country hunting.(Fixed bipods only! Absolutley NO Shooting Sticks allowed Binoculars and rangefinder mandatory.) Hunts are available with food & lodging at our camphouse in Wheeler or without food & lodging. Please call about our limited Whitetail buck hunts in the Western Panhandle these are usually done in conjunction with our Mule deer hunts but can be booked separetely for $3000 per buck (No Does) food & lodging extra. We are also a Cabela’s Whitetail outfitter.
